DMCA Notice & Policy

Our Copyright Policy

InstaView respects the intellectual property rights of content creators. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, we will respond promptly to valid notices of copyright infringement. If you believe content accessible through our Service infringes your copyright, please submit a notice as described below.

What InstaView Does

InstaView is a pass-through viewer for publicly available Instagram content. It does not:

  • Host or store Instagram photos, videos, or stories on its own servers
  • Re-upload or republish content to any third-party platform
  • Modify or create derivative works from Instagram content
  • Display content from private accounts

All content is fetched directly from Instagram's public API at the time of your request and delivered to your browser. Our servers act only as a relay and apply a short-lived edge cache (maximum 5 minutes) for performance purposes only.

For takedown of content on Instagram itself, please use Instagram's own copyright reporting tool. That is the most effective and direct path to removing content.

To submit a valid DMCA notification, provide the following information in writing to our designated agent (contact details below). Incomplete notices may not be actioned.

Repeat Infringer Policy

InstaView maintains a policy of terminating the access of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. In appropriate circumstances, we will disable and/or terminate access to the Service for users who repeatedly infringe or are believed to be repeatedly infringing the rights of copyright holders.

Misuse of DMCA Process

Please be aware that knowingly submitting a false DMCA claim is a serious matter. Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer.
